We show on this web-site some photographs taken during club events, we may also use these photographs for publicity purposes in Portuguese Newspapers. These photographs will normally include a selection of the people attending the event. All members have the possibility  to register to be excluded from these pictures. Any member who prefers not to appear in these pictures, or objects to any particular photograph, should let us know promptly via the 'Contact Us' page.

The copies published are fairly low resolution to improve page loading time. Better quality digital copies of the photographs are available, free, to the members who appear in them only, on request.

Online Privacy

This web-site does not use 'cookies' nor does it collect any personal information about visitors. Anonymous statistics are collected by our hosting service as above.

The club respects the privacy of club members. Member information (Names, Phone numbers etc.) will not be disclosed to any third party.

Limited information about the Committee Members may be used in Club Newsletters or this web-site as needed.

GDPR

On May 25, 2018, a new European Union (EU) data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR (Regulamento Geral de Proteção de Dados - RGPD in Portuguese), took effect. The GDPR gives all individuals resident in the EU (including the UK) more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on all organisations that collect, hold or process information of those individuals.

The Club has defined a 'Privacy Policy' and reviewed internal procedures to reflect the new requirements of the GDPR.

Due to limitations on our hosting package it has not currently proved practical to include this whole policy online. Any member who would like to review this may use the 'Contact Us' page to request a copy and we will promptly send a 'PDF' version (2 pages) by e-mail.
