C.A.S.A. Events Diary

This page provides information about our forthcoming events, all of which do require pre-booking.  We normally include an allowance for gratuities, where appropriate, in our shown prices.


The first section shows the current events for which bookings can be made now. The final section contains advance information about future events which are still in the planning stage - details may change - significantly!


Please note any 'last booking date' shown for an event, if none is shown then we need to receive bookings a minimum of 7 days before the function.


Driving directions to the venue and a road map will normally be added to the description about 10 days before each event.

We normally aim to run 12 to 14 events during the year,  numbers

at each event may be restricted.

Friday 9th June



Luau / Dinner

ANOTHER new event for CASA!


Our normal 'dress code' for dinners is relaxed!

you are invited to dress up (eg fancy shirt / grass skirt!)

** this is not compulsary **

but we will provide a pre-made lei for everyone

and a prize will be given to the most

entertainingly outfitted man and woman.


The event will include a demonstration of Hawaiian Luau

dancing - including 'poi ball twirling'.

It should be fun!


Food will be served over several courses with choices available,


To include:


Couvert: Octopus salad, cheese, olives, presunto, bread, butter, pate.
Fish Course:     Sardines  and/or  Breaded fish
Meat Course:    Grilled Chicken  and/or  Leitao (the house speciality)
                        (A Vegetarian dish will also be available)
Dessert:            Selection of house deserts as available on the day
Coffee,  wine and water included.
Both the main courses will be served on platters to share,
these will be re-filled on request.


Price is €30 for members,  €32 for guests

Last day for booking is Tuesday 6th June


We will be seated at three tables with a maximum of ten people at each,

thus a maximum of 30 people in total.


The cash bar will be open for anyone wanting pre/post dinner drinks.

If you arrive before 6:30 please wait in the bar area

for us to complete preparations.

The meal and included drinks will be served from 7.

Bread, toasts, cheese, sausage, olives, butter,
sardine pate, home made paté, boiled shrimps


Main Courses

Grilled prawns with rice and salad;
Turkey strogonoff with rice;
Grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce,
fries & vegetables;
Pork medallions with pepper sauce,

fries & vegetables;
Grilled fish (bream or sea bass)

with potatoes & vegetables)

Includes wine, beer, soft drinks, water & coffee.

Price will be  €27 for members and €29 for non-members.

5-day Coach Trip to Central Iberia





We are pleased to be able to offer members an autumn trip away this year.


This will be a 4 night/5 day trip with an overnight stopover in Evora to explore the town and visit Monsaraz, and three nights in a lovely hotel in Merida to visit Cacares and Merida. These are all attractive towns with a lot of historical interest and some lovely places to visit so it should be a great trip. There is an outline itinerary for the trip below for your information. We would need to have a minimum of 25 people for this to go ahead, so if you are interested in coming along, please email Cecilia Crocker at chairperson@casasocial.club (or use the contact form) as soon as possible so we can start the planning.


Please note that if we do NOT soon have at least 25 people interested the trip will have to be abandoned - and no further trips will be arranged.


We have been given a ballpark figure of €620 per person based on two sharing and €800 for a single person, but this figure is based on a minimum of 25 people and could be reduced if more people were interested in going.

3 nights in Mérida (hotel to be confirmed) including dinners

Coach to Céceres

Guided walking tour in Céceres

Free time for lunch and exploring

Return to Mérida


2nd November

Guided walking tour in Mérida

Free afternoon to explore


3rd November

Departure to the Algarve

Stopover at Herdade da Cartuxa for wine and olive oil taste and snack

ETA in Lagos 19h00 - 19h30
