Don't miss this rare evening dinner with us. CASA members will enjoy a dockside favorite in the beautiful Lagos Marina. The weather should be warm and the doors will be wide open to take in the wonderful seafaring ambiance. Your menu choices are:

Starter (Choose One for each course)

French Onion Soup

Chicken Liver Pate with toast and onion marmalade

Vegetable Gyoza with dipping sauce

Main Course

Smoked Haddock served over mashed potato and spinach, topped with a poached egg and hollandaise

Homemade Ravioli stuffed with butternut squash, brie, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese serve with a side salad

Chicken, Leek, and Bacon Pie served with seasonal vegetables, new pototoes, and gravy.

Dessert

Strawberry Pavlova

Sticky Toffee Pudding served with ice cream and butterscotch sauce

Key Lime Pie served with coconut ice cream

Smokehouse 125 – Special Dining Event | Saturday, 9 May

We’re pleased to announce an additional event on Saturday, 9 May at 1 pm, scheduled to make it easier for our working members to attend—and perfectly timed before the tourist season begins in earnest.

Smokehouse 125 is a new restaurant located directly on the N125 in Boliqueime. While authentic smoked barbecue can be hard to find, Smokehouse 125 certainly isn’t—just follow the irresistible aroma. You’ll find it near the exotic car dealership by the roundabout. Stop in and pick up that Ferrari you have been eyeing after lunch!

Menu

This event will feature a hearty smoked barbecue selection:

Beef brisket
Pulled pork
Pork ribs
Coleslaw and chips
Side salad
One included drink

Please note: Unfortunately, this menu does not include a vegetarian option. Additional drinks may be purchased individually, helping us keep the overall event cost down.

Parking: Minimal on-site parking; most parking will be along the roadside.

Registration

Registration is now open and will close on May 6^th at 1pm, or sooner if capacity is reached. A waiting list will be made if that happens. Payment may be made through our Revolute account (see margin) or in cash at the event. If you book and need to cancel, it must be done by the cutoff date or you will still be responsible for payment as CASA pays based on the headcount at that time.

HELP!

We need your input to plan for future events. Do you want to ride donkeys at Paderne Castle? Perhaps an ATV guided ride through the wild Algarve back country? A boat tour up the Guadiana river? A trip to the ancient archeological mounds and structures in Huelva, Spain? The sky is the limit, so make your suggestions to any committee member who will research the idea and present it in this space.

This page provides information about our forthcoming events, all of which require pre-booking. We normally aim to run 12 to 14 events during the year, numbers at each event may be restricted. Details of recently held events can be found here.

The first section shows the current events for which bookings can be made now. The final section contains advance information about future events which are still in the planning stage - details may change - significantly!

Please note any 'last booking date' shown for an event, if none is shown then we need to receive bookings a minimum of 7 days before the function. Some events may be limited due to facilities' capacities.

Tips/Gratuities:

We have previously included an allowance for this in the advertised price, however following suggestions from members this policy has changed. For all events AFTER the 2024 AGM we will no longer do this. Instead we will 'pass the hat' around towards the end of the event to collect an optional gratuity which will go directly to the staff.

Driving directions to the venue and a road map will normally be added to the description about 10 days before each event.

We always try to provide 'GPS' and 'What Three Words' location information, these are usually for the best parking place rather than the inside of a restaurant and may be more accurate than any provided by other sources - we do check them! If using a 'search' function to find an event (e.g. Google a restaurant) make sure it gives you the correct place - there may well be two places with the same name in the same general area.
